Release History
Version 1.0
In the year of 2000 the designing
and development of one of the most required software in the world of
organizations and companies was started to developed. Same year the first
version of this software with the name of NSFS come to market for sales. In the
first version (1.0) there was only two featuring which are following;
- Filtering System
- Cashe Server
In this version we don't have any interface & also built
on the Linux kernel 2.2.
Version 1.2
After long period of two year, the developers of
NSFS develop another version of it, version 1.2. This version is based on Linux kernel 2.4.0 ,and the feature
which only added is:
Version 1.4
1.4 is another version of NSFS, in this version there
were some improvement in the software, which are following:
- Improve the Filtering Database
- Improve the Cashing system
- Adding the advertisement Filtering
- Backup Restore
- NAT system
Version 2.0
Version 2.0 based on the Linux kernel of 2.4.10 , has the following features:
- Administrator can add the Porn star site in the database of filtering system
- Filtering on behave of keyword and pattern matching
Version 2.5
Another version of NSFS 2.5 on
the same Linux kernel of 2.4.10 & with the features of:
- MRTG Report
- White list
- Update the filtering db on the behave of category
- Adding the IP polices
- Remove Bugs
Version 3.0
Version 3.0 based on the Linux kernel of 2.4.28 , has the following feature:
- User can add route rules in Route table
- Ability to edit the filtering system
- Admin can change the Block page
Version 4.0
The most important version 4.0 based on kernel
2.6.10. The features which add in this version is:
- NIDS
- Port forwarding
- Browser redirecting
- Improve web interface
Version 4.5
Version 4.5 based on the
Linux kernel of 2.6.15, come to market in 2006.
The features which add in this version is:
- LAN Accounting
- Updates on web interface
Version 4.6
Version 4.6 based on the
same Linux kernel of 2.6.15.
The features which add in this version is:
- Support ADSL Technology (PPPoE)
Version 4.7
Version 4.7 based on the
same Linux kernel of 2.6.15.
The features which add in this version is:
- Support ADSL Technology (PPTP)
- Updates on Backup Restore
Version 5.0
Version 5.0 based on the Linux kernel of 2.6.18 ,
has the following features :
- Bandwidth manager
- Improve the firewall system
- Updates on Backup Restore
Version 5.5
Latest version 5.5 based on the
same Linux kernel of 2.6.18.
The features which add in this version is:
- Improve Accounting system
- Updates on Reports
